Dan Shapiro to be inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, recognizing his excellence in entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service

The 39th Annual Business Hall of Fame ceremony, sponsored by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, will take place on May 4, 2023, in New Orleans. Established in 1984, the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame recognizes and honors local business leaders who have embraced the spirit of entrepreneurship in their community.

With an impressive 40-year track record in entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service, Shapiro has been an active member of the Louisiana business community. Most of his career has been in the service of Louisiana-based Krispy Krunchy Chicken®, where after joining in 2006 as Executive Vice President, he has served as CEO since November 2021. Under Shapiro’s leadership, the brand’s growth skyrocketed from less than 100 Louisiana stores to more than 2,700 locations spanning 47 states in the U.S.
